“Couldn’t love you more” by John Martyn (1978) – a powerful song about devotion to another being. I was reminded of good friends, some alive, some dead, by this song.

I also discovered that John was best friends with another British talent who died young at 26, Nick Drake, who’s song “Time has told me” remains one of my all time faves – another song about the rarity of soulful love.

It’s all about love. Yet today I am filled with sadness…
